For The Players Since 1995

In the next month Sony will release the much anticipated Playstation 4, going up against Microsoft and their X-Box One. 

In the lead up, Playstation Access have been behind the scenes of a new advert highlighting the various generations of Playstation, it's games and the culture that surrounds it. Suffice to say it is pretty evoking of the great memories Sony have etched in our minds since 1995. From the sound samples of Parapper the Rapper to the sound clips that served Crash on his journey; there is a certain heritage here that only a few have been able to match. 

Its in moments such as these that you're reminded of the wonderful world of gaming, transcending the notions that first encompassed gaming when it was first conceived or made main stream. It is this that contributes it to the long discussion of art and gaming and given the current environment of conceptual art, one could say that gaming has surpassed most of what could be considered 'art' today.
